For Sale - Female sexed Semen

Peter Pan of Vagabond

Sexed female semen is now available from our homebred purebred registered highland bull, Peter Pan. Standing just 121cms tall, Peter Pan is a mid-sized miniature Highland with an exceptional temperament that consistently shines through in his calves. He is registered with the Australian Highland Cattle Society and Poll Highland Cattle Society. He produces tiny calves with average birth weights of only 19.2kgs while maintaining true highland character.

With Highland heifers in such high demand across Queensland, sexed female semen offers breeders the opportunity to maximize their chances of producing quality replacement females from proven miniature Highland genetics. Others are selling imported unsexed miniature straws for $1500 each.

As far as we are aware, Peter Pan is the first horned Highland bull  in Australia to be collected for sexed semen.

For Sale - Herbie the purebred Highland Bull

Mighty Herbert of Vagabond is a purebred registered highland bull (AHCS herdbook number 11009). We bought him as an embryo from the Bairnsley Highland Stud and he has their genetic line. He has a nose ring in as we had planned on showing him at the Ekka but he got 3 day sickness so didn't put on the condition needed for showing at an elite level. He is fully halter trained but being an intact bull isn't cuddle friendly. At 18 months old he is currently working as a mop up bull to my herd of highlands. He is an ideal bull if you are looking for a paddock bull with world class genetics. He has spent his whole life with us in a tick area and is tick fever vaccinated.

Hi, I'm Levi the miniature steer

Levi is the cutest little steer. He was born on the 30th March 2025 and is smaller than all my 6 month old calves. He is registered as purebred with the Poll Highland Cattle Society as a mid sized miniature (NT821 neg and DNA parent verified). He is fully halter trained and steered to make the perfect pet. He is eat out of your hand in the paddock friendly. He loves the attention of adults and will stand there and be brushed for hours but for some reason isn't a fan of primary school aged children. He would suit someone who wants a steer that is bonded to them rather than a BnB /farmstay environment. He is vaccinated for Tick fever and 7 in 1 as well as drenched.

 Steer Levi $13K +GST (discounted from $15K)

.

All Vagabond Highland animals are discounted if you buy more than one. You may want to buy Levi with another weaner.

Paddock Stock For Sale

Our paddock stock consists of purebred unregistered highlands, cross bred highlands and a few special rare breed Sussex. They are used to being put through the cattle yards and handled by us.

Most people who buy our paddock stock are first time farmers who would like to learn on cattle with all the hard work already done before buying the purebred registered stock.

We currently have some cross bred highland calves for sale when they are weaned at about 6-9 months fully vaccinated and halter trained. Please contact us for more details.

My name is Mini Moo

Mini Moo of Byron Bay is a 10 year old registered miniature White Galloway with black points. She is in excellent condition and eat out of your hand paddock friendly. She was purchased by Haylee as part of her journey to breed highparks. Unfortunately, after running with our highland bull for the last 9 months she is still not pregnant. She had just weaned a calf when we bought her. She would suit a hobby farmer who want a quiet gentle girl who is always hangs out at the back of the herd. She is on the taller side of the miniature scale.

Mini Moo $4.5K +GST neg

All Vagabond Highland animals are discounted if you buy more than one.

Our names are Digby, Perry and Sammy

Digby and Perry are our 6 month old crossbred steers. They are just starting on their halter training journey. Their dad is our much loved purebred registered bull Peter Pan. Their mums are our Angus x fresian cows that we use as surrogates but this time around they produced their own calves. These boys will grow to be much larger than our miniature highlands and will have slightly less hair but will still have the magnificent horns that Peter Pan is well known for. I'm also considering selling their sister Sammy (same genetics as above). Sammy came out all black like her mum and will be registered as A grade with the poll society (she'll have horns too but is registered with poll society as her dad Peter Pan is a miniature).

Digby and Perry $5.5K +GST each

Sammy $13K + GST

All Vagabond Highland animals are discounted if you buy more than one.

Hi, our names are Piper and Abby

Piper and Abby are our crossbred heifers. Their dad was our purebred registered highland bull Bill. Their mums are Roo and Cadbury (our Sussex cows. Sussex is a rare british breed my grandfather used to breed). I love this cross as they have the rich red colour with white tails as well as solid growth of a sussex and the hardiness of a highland. Piper will have horns and Abby will be polled (no horns). As they're growing their winter coats Abby has developed a lovely white frosting along her backline. Both will be registered as A grade with the Poll Highland Society.  At 7 months old this pair are weaned, eat out of your hand friendly and almost completed their halter training journey. I haven't taken very good photos of them but could easily facetime you to show you how beautiful they are.

Piper and Abby $13K +GST each

These girls are a bonded pair and would love them to go together. Discounted to $12K each if buying both. I was going to keep them as future recip cows but thought someone might really enjoy them on their farm.
